Mental Health Professional for Team Leader - National Youth Forensic Service

Contract: Full time, Permanent 1.00 FTE
Salary: $122,086 - $138,057 (PSA)
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader’s position for our National Youth Forensic Service – Nga Taiohi, which is part of the Central Region Forensics & Rehabilitation Inpatient Service. Nga Taiohi is based on the Kenepuru Hospital site. The Team Leader’s role is to ensure that the Team provides an effective and efficient service that facilitates clinical and cultural excellence and desired outcomes.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
Nga Taiohi is the national secure youth forensic purpose built 10 beds unit which will provide the inpatient service for youth offenders with a mental health and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. The secure youth forensic unit is co-located with the existing Youth Acute Inpatient Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Rangatahi) and the Youth Intellectual Disability (ID) Inpatient Unit (Hikitia Te Wairua) in the Centre of Excellence at Kenepuru Hospital.

Our ideal candidate must have experience in:
-working in a forensic mental health setting
-to lead and manage a team of clinicians and administrative staff
-to manage a business operation and change
-taking ownership, accountability and responsibility for the role
The candidate must have a relevant tertiary level business qualification and a clinical discipline which is preferred.
