Multidisciplinary Meeting Co-ordinator/Clinical Typist

Salary: $70,970 to $78,397
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
In this role you will cover for our Multidisciplinary Meeting (MDM) Co-ordinators in Wellington and Hutt Hospital as well as providing transcription work as part of our Clinical Typing team. You will assist with MDM overflows and the running and co-ordination of Cancer Multidisciplinary meetings. The role also involves preparing agendas and documentation for the meetings to ensure all information is available for the attendees in advance and ensuring that all meeting outcomes are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
Our Multidisciplinary Cancer meetings are regularly scheduled meetings where representatives from specific services get together to discuss appropriate diagnostic tests and suitable treatment options for an individual cancer patient. The MDM Coordinator maintains the responsibility of planning and co-ordinating MDMs, communicating and interacting with clinicians and collecting quality data.
We seek a person who cannot only manage the day to day running of the meetings, but also help identify and implement improvement opportunities. The role will also cover transcription work as part of the Clinical Typing team in Wellington. Travel will be required to and from Wellington and Hutt campuses. A clean drivers licence is essential.

The team provides transcription services to clinical staff across the District, delivering high quality, accurate work with timely turnaround. The Patient Administration Service (PAS) is a group of five services which work together to support the patient journey from referral to a District treatment provider, right through to discharge. PAS goals are to provide high quality, efficient and effective administration support to enable clinical staff to concentrate on patient care.

You will be a highly experienced Co-ordinator/Typist who has an excellent command of English and a positive attitude.
Further skills and experience we are looking for:
- High level of planning and co-ordinating skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Flexibility and keen to learn
- Desire to work in a team environment
