Consultant Psychiatrist - Child and Adolescent Service (New Zealand - Wellington Region)

We are looking for Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our fabulous teams in the Younger Persons sector.
We have vacancies including outpatient and inpatient positions, either full-time or part-time.
We would be keen to consider applicants interested in either permanent or fixed-term employment.
About our teams
The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) serves the lower North Island of New Zealand - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast, and includes local, regional, and national services.
The teams in our Younger Persons sector provide specialist mental health services for children and adolescents between the ages of birth and 19 years (inclusive), who have moderate-to-severe mental health conditions. Our sector includes specialist teams for eating disorders, inpatient and first episode psychosis, along with community teams for more general child/adolescent mental health presentations. All teams work collaboratively with other community agencies to provide holistic and culturally-appropriate services to the clients.
We work in multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists, and provide consistently high standards of care to young people. We strive to provide a supportive, flexible working environment for all our staff. MHAIDS is committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) at all levels of our services.
About you
You will be vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold equivalent qualification and be able qualify for registration with MCNZ. Specialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is essential. You will be able to work comfortably and flexibly within a team environment.

The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) spans across Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast and includes local, regional, and national services. The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3 sub-region – greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa. Te Korowai Whariki services include regional forensic and rehabilitation services covering the Central region while the intellectual disability services extend the length and breadth of the country from six bases located in Whangarei, Auckland, Cambridge, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
