Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic pharmacist for a full-time position of Surgical Team Co-ordinator Pharmacist. This role forms part of the clinical pharmacy service, with the position holder having a caseload of patients to provide Pharmaceutical services, to as well as supporting junior members of staff to provide care to their patients. The position holder provides some operational duties on a rostered basis and works closely with the Clinical Team leader and Medical Team Coordinator Pharmacist to co-ordinate the coverage of Clinical Pharmacy services across the DHB.

The Surgical Team Co-ordinator Pharmacist acts as a role model to other pharmacists and provides support, advice and education to the pharmacy department, as well as other healthcare professionals. 

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team

We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout the DHB, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, an aseptic production service and a quality & risk service. Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital & Coast District. 

Moū – About you

You will be enthusiastic and have a passion for pharmacy, and for training other healthcare staff. You will have previous hospital pharmacy experience and the ability to work with a variety of staff from different healthcare professions. We want to hear from you if you are self-motivated in developing your clinical and professional practice and are keen to learn about all aspects of hospital pharmacy. You will need to be registered as a pharmacist in NZ, or eligible to register.
