Social Worker (Whānau Care Services)

This position is a 9 month fixed term/secondment within Whānau Care Services. There is also an option of part time and job sharing opportunities.

You will work directly with Māori patients, their whānau and CCDHB staff.  Using your comprehensive generalist Social Work skills, you will provide expert care from admission through to re-integration back into our community. 

Your strengths-based approach and culturally focused clinical practice will prioritise safety and effectively meeting needs for Māori patients and whānau. Your role will improve access, provide health education, coordinate treatment, offer support and advocacy for Māori patients and whānau engaged with services across CCDHB.

This role is based at Wellington Hospital with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to providing a variety of services to patients who identify as Māori. You will receive regular professional supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development.

Eligible applicants must be New Zealand registered with current practicing certificate. Overseas applicants should ensure their eligibility for registration with New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board prior to application.
