Acute Associate Charge Nurse Manager
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time 0.6 FTE, Rostered and Rotating

About the Role
The Acute Associate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM) is part of the senior nursing team providing clinical leadership, quality improvement and support to the acute team.
The ACNM will be able to work in a challenging and demanding environment, manage competing demands, maintain composure in times of pressure, and maintain effective engagement strategies.
The successful candidate will have highly developed communication skills with a positive and flexible approach and the willingness to tackle the hard stuff.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service design plus implement innovative supports that enhance current and future service delivery.
About the Team/Service/ Location
There is a strong team focus in Theatre and our nursing staff work together and closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a person/whānau centred approach. The benefits of a team nursing model are considerable, but include improved communication and coordination of care, enhanced support and teaching of clinical decision-making skills, increased patient care and satisfaction, and improved staff satisfaction and retention.
About you
- Broad knowledge of the department and understanding of the operational flow
- Experience as an Acute Co-ordinator
- Minimum of 3 years of theatre experience
- Ability to re-evaluate priorities and make timely clinical decisions in a high paced and stressful environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
