About the Role 

We are looking for two enthusiastic multi skilled administrators to join our vibrant team at Wellington Hospital. 

This is position is based in the Transit Lounge and is part of the wider Emergency Department and Birthing Suite Administration team.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors
  • Demographic validation
  • Outpatient bookings
  • Collation
  • Admissions, discharges and transfers of patients
  • Administration support for clinical staff
  • Liaising with other departments, facilities and organisations

This part‑time position offers flexibility to work either five days a week or two set days between 7:00am and 4:00pm.

The salary band for this role is $73,746 - $81,164 (pro-rata), depending on experience. 

About the Team 

We are a medium-sized team of administrators providing administration support to the clinicians working with the Emergency Department and Birthing Suite at Wellington Regional Hospital, and the Kenepuru Maternity Unit.

The team work on a 12-line roster in ED and 4-line roster in Birthing Suite covering 24 hours, seven days a week, as well as an additional two staff covering the Kenepuru Maternity Unit 20 hours per week Monday to Friday.
