Administrator – Operating Theatre
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Monday to Friday

About the Role
If you are an organised individual with excellent administration skills and experience supporting a team, this interesting and varied role could be for you. The Wellington Operating Theatres Unit is seeking a customer focused Administrator to provide day to day administration services that complements and assists with the management of an innovative and efficient customer-focused service for Wellington Operating Theatres.
The Operating Theatres Administrator will be key to ensuring excellent communication with all inputs to the department. The holder of this role will work closely with the Patient Flow Coordinators, Nurse Managers, and all the ancillary service delivery groups within Theatres.
The salary band for this role is $70,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Wellington provides twenty-four-hour tertiary level acute surgery services whereas Kenepuru provides elective operating only. Wellington has 15 operating theatres (including the Delivery Suite Theatre). Kenepuru have a full peri-operative role with three operating theatres and an advanced procedure room. These theatres provide facilities for orthopaedic, gynaecology, ophthalmology, general, urology and ear, nose and throat surgery. The advanced procedure room accommodates dental surgery and endoscopy.
About you
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a frontline administration role, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and produce high quality work. Your multi-tasking and prioritization skills are going to come in handy. You will be a team player and able to juggle changing priorities. You will be experienced in minute taking. Knowledge of the health sector is desirable although not essential.
