Administrator - Wellington Community Forensic Team
Location: Porirua - Ratonga rua o Porirua Campus
Contract: Full Time, 12 months fixed term– Monday to Friday

About the Role
Are you an experienced Administrator who thrives well under pressure and has a keen eye for detail? We have an opportunity for an Administrator to join our Wellington Community Forensic Team on a 12-month fixed term contract in Porirua. The role is a front-line position, based in the main reception, primarily responsible for providing administrative services to support the Community Forensic Team. The salary for this position is $72,035 - $79,573.
About the Team/Service
The forensic community teams are multidisciplinary based with their principal role as providing mental health services to all prisons (there are 6 prisons and a third of New Zealand’s total prison population in the Central Region) and adult courts (there are 17 court systems) in the region. We have forensic adult community teams based near the courts in the main cities in each district and near the five prisons in the central region of the North Island. These teams also follow up in the community certain tangata whaiora/consumers that transition from the inpatient units. The Forensic Community teams are also involved with (18) Youth Court providing a Court Liaison Service and completing specialist psychological or psychiatric assessments ordered by the Court through Children Young Persons & Family Act, 1989 (Section 333).
About you
- Ideally experience in working in the health industry and an understanding of clinical governance
- Well-developed written and oral skills – the ability communicate ideas in writing and verbally
- Excellent word processing and PC skills with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Proven experience and a track record of success in a similar administrative role
- Mature and reflective judgement – the ability to make good decisions under pressure and to handle a range of competing pressures at one time
