Clinical Coder
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital and Hutt Valley Hospital (option to work remotely)
Contract: 12 months fixed-term, full-time (40 hours per week)

About the role
We are seeking applications from a level 3 or above Clinical Coder with experience in either ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition to join our Clinical Coding team at Capital Coast and Hutt Valley district.
This role is for an experienced coder only, we will not accept applications from trainees or anyone without experience in coding ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition. Applications from candidates with experience in ICD10-CM will also not be considered.
We are open to offering the option to work remotely for the right candidate, and there may be opportunity for this role to be extended past 12 months.

You will be working in a team of Clinical Coders processing approximately 120,000 inpatient events per annum. Our team are committed to meeting reporting deadlines whilst providing quality coding, therefore it is very important to us that applicants have a proven history of commitment to team work, initiative and accuracy. About you
Minimum/essential qualification and skills for this role are:
- Previous experience in coding ICD10-AM 11th or 12th Edition
- Proven experience in coding independently and unsupervised
- Intermediate or Advanced level ICD10-AM 11th Edition, ACHI and ACS Clinical Coding (HIMAA) qualification or equivalent
- Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
- Accuracy, adaptability and reliability
- A team player who is proactive and uses their initiative
