Clinical Coordinator - Wellington CAMHS

About the Role
Are you a passionate mental health professional ready to take the next step in leadership? We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Coordinator to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
In this new and rewarding role, you will provide clinical leadership, support multidisciplinary teams, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality, person and whānau-centred care for tamariki and rangatahi experiencing mental health challenges. Working in a collaborative and supportive environment, you will play a key role in service coordination, workforce development, and continuous quality improvement, making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families. Salary is as per MECA determined by discipline: PSA Allied Health - Designation B ; PSA Nursing - Senior Nurse Grade 1.
About the Team/Service/ Location
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership and operational coordination for the CAMHS team, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality mental health services.
- Maintain a clinical caseload, delivering assessment, treatment, and care coordination for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau with complex mental health needs.
- Support and guide clinicians through clinical supervision, mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate team activities and resources to ensure timely access to services and effective management of service demand.
- Foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment focused on achieving positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and person and whānau-centred care.
- Champion equitable health outcomes and support the delivery of culturally responsive services
About you
We’re looking for a Registered Mental Health Professional who:
- Proven clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to inspire and support others.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Sound clinical judgement and decision-making abilities in complex situations.
- A commitment to delivering person and whānau-centred care.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing clinical staff.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- A proactive approach to quality improvement, service development, and achieving positive outcomes.
- Cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equitable health outcomes.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Registration with an appropriate professional body and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
