Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We seek a clinical genetics fellow to join our existing team in either Wellington OR Christchurch. The advanced training (fellowship) period in New Zealand is fixed-term for two years with an expectation that training will be completed after a third year based in a clinical genetics service in Australia.
You should be appropriately qualified, with a keen interest in the clinical genetics speciality.

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
Genetic Health Service NZ (GHSNZ is a multidisciplinary national service with clinical diagnostic, genetic counselling and genetic laboratory components.
Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district currently provides two Hubs for GHSNZ, based in Christchurch (South Island Hub) and Wellington (Central Hub). The two Hubs provide clinical genetics services to 50% of the population of NZ, from Taranaki in the North Island to Invercargill at the southern tip of the South Island. Clinical staff in the two Hubs are part of the national service and work closely with colleagues in the Northern Hub based in Auckland.

- Qualification from an appropriate Medical body, evidence of registration with the relevant medical council and appropriate professional body affiliations.
- Passed RACP examinations or equivalent
- Keen interest in both working and training in clinical genetics
