Location:  Wellington Locality and Kāpiti-Porirua Locality

Contract:  Permanent, Part-time (2 positions each 0.5 FTE)

About the Role

Applicants are sought for two Clinical Leader roles in the Local Adult Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Service. Both roles are part time (0.5 FTE). One of the roles is the Clinical Leader role for the Wellington City Locality and the other is the Clinical Leader role for the Kāpiti-Porirua Locality.

Working in partnership with the Operations Manager, the Clinical Leader is responsible for providing clinical and strategic oversight for their locality. Responsibilities of the role include leading clinical governance, providing expert clinical guidance, managing medico-legal matters, overseeing recruitment and credentialing, and driving improvements to quality of care and client safety.

The Local Adult Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Service is undergoing a programme of change and improvement which aspires to achieve a model of care for our district that is integrated with other services, culturally responsive, equitable, and aligned with regional and national priorities. ​ Our focus is on the realisation of a vision which can be summarised as ‘one system, one service, locally delivered’.

About you

You will have:

• Relevant tertiary level qualifications or equivalent in health leadership.
• A clinical qualification.
• Professional registration and current APC.
• Be able to use clinical expertise to support and lead others.

• Be committed to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori whānau.

• Extensive knowledge and perspective of Mental Health, Addiction and/or Intellectual Disability service delivery.
