Clinical Neuro Psychologist
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.7 FTE / 28 hours per week)

About the Role
Clinical Neuro-psychologist working in neurology department role’s main focus is on diagnosis to assist on the management of patients with complex neurological issue. You work in a multi-disciplinary team of specialist nurses, constant neurologist, RMO, HS and neuro- physiologist. As the only specialist psychology in Neurology you also act as a resource to other psychologist who may need guidance in administrating or analysing some neuropsychological tests.
About the Team/Service Location
Neurology is located in CMU at WRH but will be moving to its own department in the GNB around April. You are part of a large team of neurologist, nursing and AH staff all focused and trying to achieve best outcomes for patients with Neurological conditions. The department is committed to research and education which all staff are encourage to be part of.
About you
- Master’s Degree or doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Registration with NZ Psychologists Board
- Professional membership (e.g. NZCCP)
- Minimum of four years post qualification experience as Registered Clinical Psychologist
- Minimum of two years’ work experience involving adult neuropsychology is desirable
- Have excellent communication skills, written, verbal, non-verbal and listening skills
- Effective working relationships with staff and management
