Clinical Nurse Specialist Dental & Screening Anaesthesia Preassessment
Location: Wellington Hospital
Contract: Permanent Full-Time, Monday-Friday 0730-1600 only

About the Role
This role will provide specialist anaesthesia Preassessment care to adult and paediatric dental patients who require MDT input prior to their procedures. This will involve liaison with families to ensure patients receive optimal care from home to theatre.
Additionally, this role covers specialist adult anaesthesia Preassessment screening for all services. This part of the service aims to enhance care through consistent allocation of anaesthetist and nurse resource, via the anaesthesia clinic pathway for all adult patients that require anaesthesia input prior to their surgery.
About the Team/Service Location
Anaesthesia Preassessment is located in the Main Outpatients department of Wellington Hospital, and Kenepuru Hospital, as well as the Anaesthesia Department. We are a team of one coordinator, 6 Registered Nurses and 8 Clinical Nurse Specialists that work part-time, full-time and casual.
About you
- Post-operative surgical experience preferred, and anaesthesia-related experience a bonus (e.g. PACU)
- Advanced clinical assessment skills
- Previous work experience at a senior level
- Ability to work autonomously where required
- Outpatient clinic experience beneficial
- Current APC
- Monday-Friday work, AM shift only available
