Clinical Nurse Specialist, Palliative Care

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part time (0.90) FTE Clinical Nurse Specialist to work with the  Hospital Palliative Care Team.   

DUTIES 

  • Expert assessment of palliative care need and therapeutic approach
  • Improve symptom control, advance care planning/decision making and psychosocial support including family/whanau
  • Support development of new and innovative models of working and service provision 
  • Educate, upskill and support hospital clinical staff in general palliative care provision
  • Participate in development of policy, guidelines and pathways

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Expertise  in specialist palliative care nursing (preferably  hospital based)
  • Work with other specialty services
  • Have obtained (or working towards) Post graduate nursing qualification
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Can do attitude
