Clinical Ultrasound Educator and Quality Lead
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.4 FTE / 16 hours per week)

The Clinical Ultrasound Educator and Quality Lead provides advanced clinical leadership, education, governance and operational oversight of the Emergency Department Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) programme. The role combines expert clinical ultrasound practice with responsibility for clinician education, competency assessment, and quality assurance, credentialing support, system administration and service development. Working closely with the Director of Ultrasound and key stakeholders across Health New Zealand, the role ensures the safe, effective and high-quality use of POCUS through the provision of expert clinical advice, workforce development, governance, and maintenance of the Clinical Ultrasound electronic system
About the Team/Service Location
You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and dedicated team of clinical and non-clinical staff that supports the day to day management of point of care ultrasound.
About you
Someone well suited to this role will have / be:
- Interest in inspiring the evolution of point of care ultrasound through training and education.
- A tertiary qualification and/or significant work experience in a related field
- Experience in point of care ultrasound in an ED or pre-hospital setting
- Experience in delivering point of care ultrasound education
- Ultrasound credentialing such as ASUM CCPU or equivalent
