Dietitian – Medical Oncology & Haematology
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Fixed-term (1 December 2025 – 30 November 2026), Part Time (0.6 FTE / 24 hours per week)

About the Role
This role will be a valued member of the Medical Oncology and Haematology multidisciplinary teams, managing patients across both inpatient and outpatients settings. There is the potential to participate in and lead service improvement, resource development and other innovative practice. This role does not include overnight shifts, but once appropriate competencies have been completed, it would include participation in our weekend on call roster.
About the Team/Service Location
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated dietitian to join our fun and supportive team of dietitians at Wellington Regional Hospital. We are a group of approximately 18 dietitians who work across inpatient and outpatient settings. We are a highly dedicated and patient-focused team of clinicians. As a member of our team of dietitians at Wellington Hospital you will be supported with regular professional development opportunities to assist you in meeting your continuing competency requirements, as well as regular clinical supervision.
About you
- You have clinical knowledge & experience working within the medical oncology &/or haematology area.
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a flexible, problem solving approach
- You will have the ability to quickly build strong working relationships with patients, whānau and the wider multidisciplinary team and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills
