Emergency Department Health Care Assistant – Te Pae Tiaki
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time minimum 0.4 FTE Rostered and Rotating

About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant, we offer you the opportunity to join our motived and professional team in Te Pae Tiaki ǀ Emergency Department (ED) at Wellington Regional Hospital.
We are a level 6 Emergency service, committed to providing acute and emergent care to patients and their families / whanau within a multidisciplinary tea. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment covering all adult and paediatric specialties and including an ED Observation Unit.

Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. CCDHB operates two hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua – as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.
About you
A New Zealand registered nurse, you will have a current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Do you have an interest in healthcare? As we provide training and development, Te Pae Tiaki ǀ Emergency Department is the place for you: where we can offer you employment and an opportunity to gain valuable experience, while earning as you learn. We are looking for positive motivated individuals who are keen to learn and provide care together with the team. Good communication skills, and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential.
- You have a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification
- Or you may be wanting to become a Health Care Assistant, but you do not yet have the Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification to secure employment
- You could be nursing / medical / allied health student wanting some relevant part-time work
