Equipment Coordinator
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

About the Role
This role is part of the Central Equipment Pool (CEP) team of Equipment Coordinators and is based primarily at Wellington Hospital. The position is responsible for ensuring CEP equipment is well maintained, readily available, and efficiently managed across the hospital campus.
Key responsibilities include the receipt, storage, preparation, and distribution of equipment throughout the campus, as well as supporting administrative tasks related to equipment management. The role also involves delivering equipment across the Capital & Coast region and providing cover in other CEP stores when required.
Working closely with the Team Leader, fellow Equipment Coordinators, this role plays an important part in supporting day-to-day operations to ensure equipment is available when and where it is needed.
The salary band for this role is $73,876 -$81,015, depending on experience.
About the Team/Service Location
The Central Equipment Pool (CEP) provides logistical support to hospital wards, acute areas, and community services by ensuring essential patient equipment is available when needed. This includes the storage, maintenance, and distribution of commonly used equipment within the hospital, as well as short-term loan equipment to support patient in the community.
About you
You are a practical, reliable, and service-focused team player with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ideally, you bring experience from a warehousing, logistics, or stock-handling environment, and are comfortable managing physical tasks, following systems, and meeting service timelines. You communicate well, adapt easily to changing priorities, and take pride in supporting others. A positive attitude, willingness to help, and commitment to supporting patient care are essential for success in this role.
