Contract:  Permanent role, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Advertising an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Programme Coordinator role within the Workforce and Practice Development Unit. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in their career.  This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support all aspects of our graduate nurse programmes, with a primary focus on the Enrolled Nurse Supported into Practice (ENSIPP) programme.

As the Graduate Programme Coordinator, you will coordinate all components of the CCHV ENSIPP programme, including the recruitment process for graduates, facilitate ENSIPP study days, and work closely with ENSIPP clinical coach, preceptors, and managers across the district, including primary health and aged and residential care sectors.  Bring your fresh ideas and leadership skills to this rewarding role.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Workforce and Practice Development Unit (W&PDU) supports the Chief Nursing Officer and Nurse Directors across the District. The W&PDU provides leadership and support for undergraduate, pre-registration, postgraduate, professional development and recognition and the graduate entry programmes and ongoing learning for staff across the District and Region. Professional development is an important workforce focus across primary, secondary and tertiary services; as is developing, managing and improving processes and systems to optimise workforce capability and resilience to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The Graduate Programme Coordinator role offers a mix of leadership responsibilities and will suit a registered Nurse who is passionate about developing new graduates and the future workforce. If you enjoy collaboratively with teams across the District, have strong attention to detail and planning skills, and the ability to set goals and deliver outcomes, then this senior designated role supporting the nursing workforce is the perfect opportunity for you. You will bring to this role:

  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and equitable outcomes in health
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within HSS and across the primary and community sector 
  • RN registration and current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand 
  • Minimum three years post-graduate nursing experience 
  • Post-graduate nursing qualification or working towards this
  • Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching desirable
