Contract: Permanent, Part Time (Monday – Thursday 10.30am – 2.30pm, and alternate Saturdays 10.30am - 2.30pm)

Salary: $39,206 - $45,247

The Dialysis Unit has a position available for a Health Care Assistant to cover:

Monday – Thursday 10.30am – 2.30pm, and alternate Saturdays 10.30am - 2.30pm (36 hrs/fortnight).

This is an essential role in facilitating the smooth running of activities in the busy Dialysis Unit.

This position involves ensuring daily unit activities to support patient care are met, including preparation of supplies, restocking, cleaning equipment, and general support to the Dialysis Unit nursing team as required to meet service needs. 

You will enjoy working within our friendly and supportive team where all team members are valued.

DUTIES 

  • Dialysis machines are stripped and washed after each patient treatment as per unit protocol 
  • Prepares the dialysis station in readiness for the next patient
  • Prepares supplies for dialysis treatments
  • Ensures unit trolleys are well stocked
  • Ensures equipment is cleaned as per task list

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Previous experience in HCA role beneficial
  • Level 3 NZQA qualification or commitment to undertake
  • Must have valid permit to work in NZ
