Health Care Assistant - Transit Lounge

Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent .7 FTE Rostered and Rotating

About the Role
Transit Lounge is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week unit which aims to facilitate Hospital Flow via accommodating anticipated discharging and transferring patients from acute ward areas. Transit Lounge accommodates clinic assessments and day case procedures. Our service supports open, honest, communication and dynamic professional development of all team members. We are a small but dynamic group of dedicated staff who are client focused. You will be working alongside the RNs to support patient care and facilitate safe and timely discharge.
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following :
- The ability to work under direction and delegation of the RN
- Adaptable to the changing work flow
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient focused
Skills and Experience
- Must have NZ residency or Citizenship
- Must be currently in New Zealand
- NZQA level three Health and wellbeing
- Previous New Zealand experience working in Healthcare.
