Intake Clinician For Wellington Central – CADS Community Mental Health Locality

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (1FTE)

About the Role
Adelaide Road Community Mental Health and Addictions Services are located within walking distance of many community services and amenities. There are many low cost carparks available, including Wellington Hospital, which is within walking distance nearby. A Bus stop is at the front of the building on Adelaide Rd.
The service is busy and you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary Team, an expectation of the role is that you will be able to adapt as needed to change focus, on the Category of Intake role as required, along with an aptitude to assess risk and escalate a referral if the need arises.
The salary range for this role is between $84,927-$110,290 depending on experience.
About the Team/Service Location
Our base is located in Mount Cook/Newtown, close to central Wellington. The Wellington Locality encompasses the Wellington Central Home Base, Wellington South Home Base, and Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS). We also operate a dedicated learning and development centre that supports staff career progression and fosters a culture of collaboration and mutual support across teams. The service runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, excluding public holidays.
About you
• Current Practicing Certification in your discipline either Social Work or Senior Registered Nurse.
• With extensive experience and knowledge in Psychiatry
• Post Graduate qualifications or working towards this currently
• Sound understanding of the role of Triage Clinician
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act and its practical applications
• Experience with working as an active member of a multi-disciplinary Team
• Good Microsoft Capabilities.
