About the Role
The Central Region Eating Disorder Service (CREDS) is looking for a dynamic, energetic Kaiawhina to join our unique multi-disciplinary team. This exciting role will focus on supporting Maori tangata whaiora and their whanau as they journey through the service. It will work collaboratively with the team to develop better pathways for Maori who experience eating disorders, to enhance treatment outcomes. The purpose of the role is also to challenge stigma and discrimination and proactively promote inclusion and diversity.
The salary range for this role is $77,000 - $87,000 pro rated for hours worked.
About the Team/Service/ Location
CREDS offers treatment and therapy services to individuals with eating disorders, as part of the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAID) operated by the Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast District Health Boards. We provide a full range of specialist services to people with eating disorders in the greater Wellington area – from nutritional counselling, outpatient therapy and psycho-social education through to a 6-bed residential care facility and 7am-7pm therapeutic Day Programme.
CREDS is excited to welcome a Kaiāwhina who can walk with us on our journey to better understanding and responding to the needs of Whānau Māori.
