Contract: Permanent, Full Time

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Kaiwhakarite - Service Administrator to join our Whānau Care Services CCHV team across the district. This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm. The salary band for this role is $73,476 - $81,164, depending on experience.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Kaiwhakarite - Service Administrator is a pivotal role within the service, providing administrative, systems, reporting, and coordination support to the Whānau Care Services team and managing the Te Peehi Parata Whānau Whare service. The role supports the effective operation of Whānau Care Services across the Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district through the administration, maintenance, monitoring and navigation of organisational systems, reporting platforms, and service data requirements.
A key responsibility of this position is to provide services to support the administrative functioning of Whānau Care Services across the district and to achieve the goals and objectives of the service. This support will enable the delivery of timely, professional and high-quality administrative services that will assist the General Manager and team members to provide a safe, quality service that is in line with best practice and service specifications.

About you
The successful candidate for this role will be organised, diligent, have outstanding attention to detail, be confident dealing with staff at all levels, comfortable prioritising multiple responsibilities and demonstrate resilience in a busy environment.
You will need to work as an individual and as part of a team, working in a courteous and professional manner, making effective decisions with your internal stakeholders in mind.
Other skills and experience we are looking for include:
- Cultural and professional knowledge and experience in a people-facing admin role
- Experience of supporting meetings including the production of supporting documentation.
- Experience in dealing with stake holders, customers and staff in a sensitive environment.
- Competent in using the Microsoft suite and have the ability to quickly learn new applications/systems required for the role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed time management skills to enable deadlines to be managed and met.
- Can communicate in Te Reo Māori (desired)
