Mental Health clinician For Wellington Community Mental Health

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term, Full Time

About the Role
We have a rare opportunity for a 6 month contract for a care manager (social worker, occupational therapist, registered nurse) to cover a secondment. You will join a vibrant team delivering high quality mental health care to a diverse population.
About the Team/Service Location
The South community mental health team is a friendly supportive team, with a recognition that enjoying our mahi enhances our service delivery. We have a range of clinical skills and personalities that mean you can find your place with us. Covering the Southern and Eastern suburbs of wellington affords us a diverse caseload of clients with equally diverse needs. We strive to provide a service that fits the range of needs we encounter and puts the person at the centre of what we do.
Our vision is for an integrated mental health and addiction service, with a focus on local delivery across the district.
About you
- Able to work autonomously as well as contribute to the MDT.
- Creative, innovative thinking and problem solving.
- Application of best practice models of care.
- A willingness to learn and develop your practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and skilled in developing relationships with a variety of other professionals.
- Registered with the relevant board in New Zealand.
- You will have experience providing comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulating and articulating treatment needs and plans, and be able to coordinate and prioritise treatment needs.
