Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Location: Kenepuru Community Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)

About the Role
We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist (PT) to join our team. This position is primarily based in the therapies outpatients’ facility at Kenepuru Community Hospital but may support colleagues by working on other sites as and when necessary to ensure equitable access to physiotherapy services across the region.
The physiotherapist in this role will assess and treat people aged over 5 years old with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions following injury, acute & elective surgery and those with progressive and chronic health conditions. The role may include input into orthopaedic/fracture clinics and group classes. The Physiotherapist will mentor and support rotational staff and undergraduate students to support the development of clinical skills, as well as supporting colleagues in other clinical areas as the need arises.
About the Team/Service/Location
The team includes Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Hand therapy and Advanced clinical practise physiotherapists (ACPP) (Orthopaedics) working across the 3 primary Capital, Coast sites with some work in community sites (primarily from the ACPP team). This is a high performing team that is welcoming and passionate about utilising best practise to look after our District’s people in the musculoskeletal arena.
About you
You will be an experienced & highly motivated MSK PT, ideally with experience in the public health system, who is knowledgeable in MSK assessment and treatment. You will be keen to further develop your skills with potential career development into more advanced scope roles. You will be a self-starter who can shift gears comfortably and can read situations quickly.
- NZ Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate.
- Appropriate post graduate qualification/working towards/keen to start.
- 5 plus years’ experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in the Musculoskeletal specialty
