Outpatients Administrator
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, full-time

About the Role
We are looking for an Outpatients provide reception services across our Outpatients Departments in Wellington Hospital. Your main responsibilities will include greeting patients arriving at the clinic, rebooking appointments, managing the phones and liaising with clinical staff.
This position is rostered to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:30am - 5pm. You may be required to work at Kenepuru Hospital on occasion to ensure our services are covered. The salary range is $72,035 - $79,573.
About the Team/Service Location
The Patient Administration Service (PAS) works across the District to support a patient's journey from referral through to discharge. PAS is comprised of several difference services who each have a dedicated Team Leader:
- Outpatient Booking Centre, Call Centre and Atrium
- Clinical Typing & Team Support
- Ward Administration & Elective booking
- Outpatient Reception and Administration Support
- Emergency Department and Radiology
This role is part of the Outpatient Reception and Administration Support team who cover various departments within the District. This role will be supporting clinical staff across Outpatient Departments at Wellington Hospital. We facilitate a supportive and collaborative workplace culture, with a commitment to your ongoing professional development. You will be working closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the service needs are met.
About you
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- At least 3 years administration experience
- Previous experience in a front-line administration role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient and office confidentiality in line with the Privacy Act
- Works well under pressure and can multitask in a fast-paced environment
