Salary: $46,560 - $60,281

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Are you a qualified pharmacy technician with:

  • Hospital aseptic production experience
  • Great prioritization & communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you - we are currently seeking a pharmacy technician to help support our motivated team in the Aseptic Production unit at Wellington Hospital.  This position involves the compounding and dispensing of cytotoxic and other aseptic products. You will also be involved in the processing of outpatient and inpatient charts, assembling of required vials, bags and consumables in preparation for manufacture and communicating with multi-disciplinary team regarding patient orders. 

DUTIES 

  • Aseptic and non-aseptic compounding 
  • Processing of inpatient and outpatient charts
  • Communicating with multi-disciplinary team regarding patient orders
  • Supporting the department in implementing programmes of work and achieving its goals.
  • Assist in training staff in compounding techniques.   

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

All applicants must possess a New Zealand recognised pharmacy technician qualification.  Previous experience in hospital aseptic compounding is essential and candidates must have knowledge of current manufacturing standards.
