Physiotherapist (Casual)

Contract: Casual

We are seeking experienced Physiotherapists to join our teams on a casual basis.  We are specifically looking for clinicians to work in the areas of musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy and pelvic health.

Older Adult, Rehabilitation and Allied Health (ORA) Services are provided to people of all ages in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.  The roles are within the ORA allied health services based in Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru hospital in Porirua and our community teams. 

These positions are suitable for those with at least 3 years clinical experience who demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, excellent communication and time management skills. You will be a great team player as well as have the ability to work autonomously.

  • Working with all ages (including those with cognitive impairment, delirium or dementia)
  • Working with people with musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.
  • Manage a busy caseload 
  • Focus on delivering high quality care for the patient/client/whānau.
  • Self-motivated in developing clinical and professional practice.
  • NZ Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate.
  • Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand - Professional Association (desirable).
  • A commitment and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi (and application to health) and a willingness to work positively in improving health outcomes for Maori.
  • Current full NZ driver’s licence with ability to drive a manual and automatic car (required for roles based in the community or where the role may be required to work across multiple sites). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet resources and e-mail.
  • A high standard of written and spoken English.
