Pre-assessment Nurse - Interventional Radiology Unit

Contract: Permanent, 0.8FTE (32 hours per week), Rostered and Rotating

About the Role 

We have a permanent position for an RN with experience working in Interventional Cardiology as a Pre-assessment (PA) Nurse within the Interventional Radiology & Cardiology Service at Wellington Hospital. The hours of work for the role are Monday – Friday 0800-1630. The focus of the role is providing a nurse led telephone Preassessment service for patients undergoing elective Interventional Cardiology procedures and Interventional Radiology procedures. You may also be required assist in our elective day procedure unit from time to time. The role requires extensive knowledge of Interventional Cardiology and preferably Radiology procedures. You must be an excellent communicator with good attention to detail and be able to identify factors that increase patient risk.  We offer an excellent working environment in a very supportive team. About the Team/Service Location

About you 

  • Current practicing certificate
  • Minimum of five year’s post registration experience in an acute setting with at least 3 years’ experience in Interventional Cardiology or Radiology. 
  • Previous experience in PA is preferable but not a must.
