Programme Director - Hospital Network
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE)

About the Role
Reporting to the Group Director Operations, Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District, the Hospital Network Programme Director will:
- Play a key role in a partnership model connecting Hospital and Specialist Services (HSS) and Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) leadership across the major monitored infrastructure projects included in the campus redevelopment portfolio.
- Lead transformation activities across the health system to ensure delivery of new models of care that deliver equitable health outcomes, make best use of resources and align with district wide service planning and the delivery of new facilities.
- Collaborate on district service planning and support the Central Region to delivering the network of services we need to meet the health needs of our local communities and be an effective regional complex care provider of tertiary services.
- Lead and direct the HSS project teams across major facility development projects responsible for:
- clinical and operational input and coordination
- new facility transition, commissioning and migration programme
- workforce service transformation through the project implementation
- change management, training and resourcing
- disruption management and service continuity during construction
About the Team / Service / Location
The Hospital & Specialist Service (HSS) Hospital Network Programme is responsible for progressing the immediate medium-term and long-term development of the Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley (CCHV) clinical service network and hospital sites and supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and facility improvement projects underway across the district.
Health New Zealand Hospital and Specialist Services and Infrastructure and Investment Group will be working in partnership over the coming years to plan and deliver infrastructure upgrades to CCHV hospital campuses.
CCHV serves a population of 540,000 people with a team of approxmately 10,000 staff, and providing services to the community across several sites including Kapiti, Kenepuru, Porirua, Hutt Valley and Wellington, with Wellington Regional Hospital providing tertiary level services to the wider region. The Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Services (MHAIDS) also sit within this group and provides local, regional and some national services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Health qualification
- Relevant Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Business/Project Management or significant experience
- Knowledge and experience of working in Health and experience managing teams at a senior managerial level
- Experience in delivery of projects or programmes in the Health Sector and excellent knowledge and experience of good project governance
- Demonstrated experience working at a senior management level across large and complex programmes of work
- Experience leading teams or programmes that include change management and transition planning and execution
