Salary:      $85,000 - $140,000 according to MECA & Experience

We are a passionate and enthusiastic team with a commitment to providing excellent services in assessment and intervention services with infants, children and young people alongside their whanau/ family with moderate to severe mental health concerns. Moū – About you

We are seeking a registered experienced Psychologist. The preferred applicant will be innovative, have previous mental health experience, work comfortably with multiple clinical presentations, be willing to learn and be involved in developing a service that benefits the client, their family and the staff working with them. Or they could be a newly graduated, keen to learn about this field. An interest and experience in neurodevelopmental assessments, group work, family therapy, trauma skills, DBT, EMDR, ACT, Schema Therapy will be highly valued. Ongoing training and extension of skills will be supported. You will be a team player, be self motivated and work well creating a collaborative space in a demanding service. Excellent clinical and case management skills or a willingness to learn these and risk management skills are essential. An interest and skills working relationally within the team and wider services and community are integral to this role. 

DUTIES 

We are seeking newly qualified and registered experienced Psychologists who can bring a variety of skills, expertise and passion including:

  • assessment and treatment of infants, children, young people and their important whanau/family relationships.
  • risk assessment and management 
  • Group work, specific interventions according to your discipline skills.
  • Contribute to the growth and work within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Liaison and collaboration with community agencies.
  • Complete all documentation within time requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • You will be a registered psychologist, and have a current annual practicing certificate. 
  • Experience in assessment and therapeutic skills and competency working with children, adolescents and their families with significant mental health difficulties is preferred.
  • Confidence working with Maori, Pasifica and other cultural groups within the wider community. 
  • Demonstrated ability and proven ability of working within a multi-disciplinary team, and skilled and committed to community liaison.
  • The ideal applicant will have experience in mental health, ideally the child and adolescent mental health sector.
  • An interest or experience in group work, EMDR, DBT, family therapy, and trauma would be valued.
  • Current drivers license
