Radiographic Assistant
Location: Wellington Regional and Kenepuru hospitals
Contract: Permanent - Casual or part time position available. Monday - Friday 08.00 to 16.30. No public holidays.

About the Role
Are you passionate about patient care and thrive in a collaborative clinical environment? As a Radiographic Assistant working across Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our imaging service. Each day brings variety—from assisting Radiologists with biopsy procedures to helping manage workflow and bookings across multiple imaging areas. You’ll work closely with MITs, sonographers, nurses, and Radiologists to ensure patients receive timely, compassionate, and high-quality care.
This role is ideal for someone with a nursing or health background who enjoys being hands-on and making a real difference in the patient journey. You’ll help maintain procedure rooms, ensure supplies are stocked, and provide support across CT, Ultrasound, Breast, and other modalities as needed. About the Team/Service Location
The Radiology departments at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals deliver a wide range of imaging services, including CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Breast Imaging, supported by modern equipment and a skilled, multidisciplinary team. With recent investments in advanced CT technology, the service is focused on innovation, patient-centred care, and continuous improvement.
About you
- Interest in patient care with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic patient care knowledge and comfort working in a clinical environment.
- Common sense approach to problem solving and task prioritisation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team.
- Previous experience in healthcare (e.g. nursing, allied health) is beneficial but not essential.
