Registered Nurse - Gynaecology

Location:  Wellington Regional Hospital 

Contract: Permanent, Part Time, Full-Time 0.8-1.0 FTE Rostered and Rotating

As part of our supportive and experienced Gynaecology team, no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise while working alongside dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

In this role, you will provide evidence-based nursing care and contribute as an active and valued member of the multidisciplinary team. You will support women through various stages of their healthcare journey, ensuring safe, compassionate, and effective care.

About the Team

4 North Gynaecology is a supportive and collaborative ward with a strong team culture. Our Registered Nurses work closely with medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver person and whānau-centred care. We are proud of our passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated team who strive to provide the best possible experience for patients throughout their healthcare journey.

4 North Gynaecology is a 14-bed inpatient ward with an adjacent treatment room, where patients are assessed after hours, have their care planned, and are either admitted or discharged home as appropriate.

Our specialty areas include:

• General Gynaecology
• Uro-Gynaecology
• Gynaecology Oncology
• Early Pregnancy Care (up to 20 weeks' gestation)
• Postnatal Care (from 12 days postpartum)

No two days are the same in our unit. In addition to caring for patients within our specialty services, we frequently provide care for patients from other specialties, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills, expand your knowledge, and build expertise within Women's Health.

About you 

• Must have NZ nursing registration
• Surgical experience an advantage
• 2 years post graduate experience
• Must have a current work visa
• Passionate about providing quality healthcare to Women
• An enthusiastic team player, wanting to contribute to the health system in New Zealand/Aotearoa
