Registered Nurse - Orthopaedics

Location: Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic – Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital

Contract:  Permanent Part time (.7 fte) Monday to Friday

About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to work in with our small but committed team in the busy Orthopaedic Outpatients Department. You will have the opportunity to care for Orthopaedic patients in an Outpatient, Acute, and in-patient setting. 

The Wellington Orthopaedic Department runs clinics from Monday to Friday 0800-1700. Clinics are located in Wellington and Kenepuru

The successful applicant will have sound clinical nursing skills, a strong patient focus, and enthusiasm for working in a team. You will be passionate about nursing clinical excellence, innovation and professional development. This role is suitable for a registered nurse who has completed their graduate year. 

About the Team/Service/ Location 

We have a small but committed group of nurses that have a passion for Orthopaedic Nursing with a focus on the art of plaster/cast application and care. The role is based in the Wellington Orthopaedic Department, with the requirement to also work in Kenepuru Outpatients department when cover is needed.

About you 

The ideal candidate will already have:

• Registration with NZ Nursing Council
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Current NZ Work visa
• Orthopaedic nursing experience
• Plastering experience 
• Paediatric experience
