Service: Research Office
Contract: Fixed-Term to February 2026, full-time/part-time 0.6 - 1.0 FTE (flexible hours)
Salary: $70,970 - $73,941
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our research team in Wellington Regional Hospital. The role will drive the administration and financial processes in the Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District Research Office. Our priority is to find the best person for this role, so we are flexible on whether this role is worked part-time or full-time. We require someone to work at a minimum of 24 hours per week.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
The Research Office supports and oversees research activities in both Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital. We have a great team with majority of staff having experience in many research-related area dedicated to improving health outcomes for our communities, with a strong focus on equity for Māori, Pacific peoples and people with disabilities.
Moū – About you
To be successful in this position, you will have strong computer and interpersonal skills. You will also need exceptional organisational skills, a high level of initiative, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and manage matters in a confidential manner.
Key skills and experience:
- Experience in administration and clinical research
- Able to build rapport and relate well with people
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and view things from different perspectives; fostering innovative thinking and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated competency in computer skills, including using a range of Microsoft packages
- Understanding of and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
