Service Administrator

Location: Wellington Regional Hospital
Contract: 12 months fixed-term, full-time

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Administrator to join the Surgical Services Directorate at Wellington Regional Hospital. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4.30 pm. The full salary range is $75,201 - $83,092.
Initially this role will be focussed on embedding the move to a new rostering system for our Senior Medical Officers and ensuring that work profiles, rosters, timesheets and leave are recorded accurately. Some of your other duties will include:
- Monitoring and coordinating annual processes for Senior Medical Officers such as annual reviews, vetting and practicing certificate renewals
- General administrative support such as mail services, travel bookings, meeting coordination, maintaining stationery stocks and generally ensuring that our floor runs smoothly

We are a friendly, dedicated team, with a strong customer service focus who ensure the best possible support for the Surgical Services Group. Our team includes, Operations Managers, Senior Medical Officers, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Administration/Booking teams.

About you
The successful candidate for this role will be organised, diligent, have outstanding attention to detail. You will be confident dealing with staff at all levels, be comfortable prioritising multiple responsibilities and demonstrate resilience in a busy environment.
You will need to work in a courteous and professional manner, making effective decisions with your internal stakeholders in mind. Experience inputting/updating staff rosters, as well as knowledge of the health environment and the Holidays Act would be advantageous but is not essential.
Other skills and experience we are looking for include:
- Knowledge and experience in an administration role
- Competent in using the Microsoft suite and have the ability to quickly learn new applications/systems required for the role
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
