Service Administrator


Location: Wellington Regional Hospital 

Contract: 12 months fixed term, full-time

About the Role 

This is an interesting and diverse role which provides great opportunity to broaden your knowledge in range of different systems and processes.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Work closely with both the Operations Manager of Women’s Health Service, Midwife Managers and the Nurse Manager of the Integrated Operations Centre to ensure the needs of the service are met
  • Manage multiple workloads and to work under timeframes to deliver great service.
  • Work cohesively with the service administrators to help provide timely, professional and high-quality administration to the service. 
  • Who is ambitious and can provide improvement where necessary
  • Navigate and manage database systems

This is initially a fixed term role for 12 months, based at Wellington Regional Hospital, Monday to Friday. The full salary range for this position is $72,035 – $79,573.

About the Team

The Women’s Health Service is a tertiary provider of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services. Services are provided over three sites; Wellington, Kenepuru and Paraparaumu. About you 

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is able to work cohesively with the other administrators of the service to ensure administration needs are met. This will require you to have a high level of oral and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills that allow you to relate to staff from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. If you are an organised individual with administration experience, this interesting role could be for you.

Skills and experience must include: 

  • Advanced computing, data handling and database system administration skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret situations which may not fall in your field of work
  • HR Administration such as employment document preparation and on-boarding management
  • Processing invoices and expenses
  • Experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of administration management
  • Meeting co-ordination including agenda preparation and minute taking
