Service Lead For Primary Care Liaison
Location: This position is expected to work from a primary care provider base.
Contract: Permanent ,Full Time( 1 FTE)

About the Role
This newly established Service Lead role provides a unique opportunity to define and develop the Primary Care liaison function, within MAHIDS, working closely with the Primary Care sector stakeholders. The Service Lead will be engaged in identifying the scope of the service, opportunities for growth in engagement with primary care providers, developing quality and risk initiatives as well as operationalising key performance indicators for the service. Relationship building and strategic thinking will be daily tasks in an evolving role, spanning primary and secondary services.
The salary range for this role is $126,000 - $139,000.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Primary Care Liaison Service provides specialist advice to GPs and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who are supporting patients with mental health and addiction needs. The service helps GPs and NPs develop specialist guided treatment plans, providing specialist support as early as possible. The PCL team role is the services who are supporting people who aren’t in secondary mental health services but might need guidance around treatment.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will need to be:
- An experienced mental health clinician with a current APC
- Able to think flexibly and strategically, with experience in operationalising key deliverables
- Have the ability to build productive relationships across sectors and disciplines
- Hold experience in leadership and service development
