Senior Medical Imaging Technologist/ Diagnostic Radiographer

Location: Wellington Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital

Contract: Fixed term, parental leave cover
Salary: $117,420 – $122,570

This is a fixed term parental cover opportunity for an experienced senior MIT, or for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
The Senior MIT is an integral member of the Radiology Team. The team is dedicated to the provision of an efficient and high quality patient focused imaging service at Capital and Coast. Radiology services are provided twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.
The Senior MIT supports the Unit Charge Radiology to manage day to day operations of the area, and participates in service management activities to support the delivery of an efficient and high quality Radiology service.
This role will participate in facilitation of continuing professional development and training programmes for the area.
We have a new fleet of 8 DR Philips x-ray machines across both Wellington and Kenepuru departments. We have modern mobile x-ray machines, and provide image intensifier services in operating theatres, including an O-arm and mini C-arm.
